100 Year Celebration

Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center held a 100 year celebration June 2nd & 3rd, 2023, at the Maxville townsite with over 240 people in attendance.

Sponsored by the Smithsonian with a grant from Bank of America, MHIC provided tours of the site, food, music from voices that represent our shared experiences and prayer, drumming circles represented by the Nez Perce of Lapwai, ID. This event held values of our mission and vision in alignment with the Smithsonian's OUR SHARED FUTURE: Reckoning With our Racial Past initiatives.
